I was born in Randfontein in 1954 and lived there until I went to Wits University after the army in 1973.
I have lived in Melbourne for the past 17 years & visited Randfontein in January this year to show my fiance where I grew up. Randfontein will always bring back happy memories.

I was born in Randfontein in 1945. Attended Randfontein Primary School, and still remember the fear of confronting mr powell the principle. After completing high school I left for Israel were i live to date. I have 4 children and two grandchildren. My wife and I live on kibbutz tzora with quite a few Ex-Randfonteiners. I grew up in Randfontein with my parents and sister Gayle. I attended Randfontein Primary School and then Jan Viljoen High. We lived in Randfontein until 1972,after my father passed away. We went to live in Jozi.I married Arlene Mandelstam in 1967. We lived in Jozi and have a married daughter Taryn who has two children, two sons Dean and Delon. Dean is getting married in Sydney in Dec and going to live in Aus.

Zea Mymin (nee Florence)

I grew up in Randfontein with my parents and brother Colin. We attended Randfontein Primary School and then Randfontein High. Colin emigrated to Israel where he lives with his family. We lived in Randfontein until 1968. My parents then went to live in Vereeniging. My mother had Renettes Outfitters with my grandmother Mrs Rosen. I married Errol Mymin in 1971. We lived in Cape Town for a year and then went to live in Krugersdorp. We lived there until 1987 when we emigrated to Melbourne Australia. My father passed away in 1985. My mother also emigrated with us to Australia where she lived until she passed away in 2006. We have two daughters Leanne, Stacey and a son Warren, who are all married and have 5 grandchildren.

I lived in Randfontein until I got married in 1968. My father owned Drapermans. He died in 1978. My Mother lives in Johannesburg. My one sistyer Shirley Braude lives in London and my other sister Denise Hummel lives in Toronto. I have two children, Jarred aged 37 and Dana aged 34. I got divorced in 1987.

I was born in Randfontein in 1945. My Dad owned Ralph's Outfitters. I Attended Randfontein Primary School before we moved to Westonaria, when my dad bought the Golden West Hotel. I went to Westonaria Primary School. I came back to Randfontein to complete my high school at Jan Viljoen Tech.
I have lived in Sydney Australia since 2001 with my wife Linda Holman. We have three Children Judith Gina & Saul. Judith was from my first marriage to Lenore Lisus also from Randfontein. Lenore passed away in 1976 when Judith was 1 year old. Lenore and I had been married for 8 years at the time. Gina was from Linda's first marriage to Barry Lowenstein, Barry passed away when Gina was 6 months old. Saul was born 2 years after we were married. After I left school I did my apprenticeship in Radio and Electronics with Pilot Radio. When I qualified I married Lenore and we went to live in London for 2 years where I studied TV. When I came back to South Africa I ran the Radio factory for Pilot Radio. Pilot was bought out by Thorn. I set up a TV factory for Thorn and employed 800 staff to manufacture 300 color TV sets a day. After the 1976 riots Thorn pulled out of South Africa and I joined Audiodek Car Radio's. I set up a Car Radio factory for them and after a few years Audiodek listed on the Johannesburg Stock exchange. At this stage I was a partner in the company & Technical Director. Autodek bought out Frank & Hirsh and TEC Electronics. We had the agencies for Autodek, Alpine, Supersonic, Tempest, Aiwa, TDK, Telefunken, Pioneer. Autodek was bought out by a Chinese Company Shanghai Investment Co. I remained on the board of the new company for three years before I took early retirement and came to live in Sydney with my family. For the last 8 years I have worked for a company repairing medical equipment, Ultrasound Machines, Xray Machines, Patient Monitors, Ivac's.

I AM MIKE LEMON AND ARRIVED ON THE WEST RAND IN 1962 FROM KLERKSDORP. MY FOLKS AND I STAYED ON WEST RAND CONS AND I STARTED ATTENDING RANDFONTEIN HIGH SCHOOL THE SAME YEAR IN STANDARD 7. I LEFT RANDFONTEIN HIGH SCHOOL AT THE END OF 1964 TO ATTEND PRINCETON COLLEGE AND THEN WENT ON TO WORK FOR S.A.R.S. IN RANDFONTEIN UNTIL 1969 AND HAVE BEEN INVOLVED IN THE MOTOR TRADE IN KRUGERSDORP AND RANDFONTEIN AS WELL AS VARIOUS OTHER INTERESTS. AFTER MARRYING IN 1971, MY LATE WIFE AND I SETTLED IN RANDFONTEIN 1 BLOCKS AWAY FROM RANDFONTEIN HIGH SCHOOL IN SUIKERBOS STREET. I HAVE TRIED TO KEEP IN CONTACT WITH OLD SCHOOL PALS ALL MY LIFE AND THIS IS A WONDERFUL FORUM TO KEEP IN TOUCH. I HOPE THIS WEBSITE IS GOING TO BE A HUGE SUCCESS. WELL DONE!

Immigrated to South Africa from Italy when I was 6 years old. Went to Randfontein Primary School,and Randfontein High. My father opened the first Restaurant in Randfontein.. PIZZA HOUSE RESTAURANT.Randfontein was just the BEST in the good old days.Married Apostol Pappas also from Rannfontein. We now live in Helderkruin.

Hi live in Randfontein for the age of 3 to 19 years went to Randfontein Primary and Randfontein High i left school at the end of std 9 in 1978, my parents Pam and Niewie Nieuwenhuizen live in Randfontein until they past away my mom in 2008 and my dad 1998. I now live in Northcliff married with one child, Grant who is 13 years old, a very special little chap.
